I get people to show up.

Voters, supporters, and fans. Decision-makers pay most attention to the people who turn out, so that's where my work starts. I do this work at Crestview Strategy, study it on two podcasts, and I'm building it into software for professional football clubs.

I have advised G7 leaders, executives, and boards in global markets, specializing in mobilizing people into action.

The opinion curve, before and after a campaign A schematic bell curve of public opinion running from opposed to supportive. A dashed curve shows where opinion starts. A solid curve sits further toward support, with the segment of existing supporters shaded. Opposed Undecided Supportive Already with you
I find the people who already share your values, give them a voice, and move support in your direction.
Crestview Strategy

I'm a partner at Crestview, a global strategy agency with offices across Canada, the UK, Australia, the US, and the Middle East. I established our agency's campaign practice and now lead our AI capabilities.

Every business is in the business of politics, whether it likes it or not. I help clients do politics well, which usually means engaging and mobilizing the people that political and regulatory decision-makers listen to most.

I study the books that have shaped my career, or the careers of the best practitioners in public affairs, and pull out the models you can put to work today. Deep reading and sustained attention are a growing advantage in this business. This show is how I hold myself to it and share what I learn.

I'm an Anglophile. And I'm a patriot. Both of these come together in my weekly political podcast with Andrew Percy, a former UK MP. Our two countries share a parliamentary system and, often, similar and overlapping challenges. We explore these challenges, one big topic at a time, with people much smarter than us.

Pivitsix

Outside the top leagues, most clubs run on a fan base too thin to absorb a poor season, a lost sponsor, or a rainy Saturday. I think the fix looks a lot like campaign work: find the people who already care, then give them reasons to show up more often and bring someone with them. Pivitsix is the software we're building to help clubs do that.

We're early, and we're talking to people who run clubs. Get in touch if that's you.

I take on client work through Crestview Strategy. Send guest pitches and book recommendations my way, and if you run a football club, I'd like to hear from you. My shorter thoughts go on LinkedIn.
